Amine use in gas treatment: according to Wiki, aqueous monoethanolamine, diglycolamine, diethanolamine, diisopropanolamine and methyldiethanolamine are widely used for removing carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide from natural gas, and remove of CO2 from combustion gases and flue gases. They also contribute to the decrease of greenhouse gases. And relevant processes are called sweetening.
