Application of Betaine Surfactants

Alkyl betaine amphoteric surfactant is a good leather finisher which makes the leather more resistant to dry cleaning;

The addition of a betaine amphoteric surfactant to an alkenyl rubber inhibits the blooming of sulfur containing a vulcanizing agent;

Stearoyl betaine is a good dispersant, which can improve the efficiency of pelleting and dust removal of coal water slurry;

Betaine amphoteric surfactants have excellent wet adhesion and freeze stability for coatings;

Metallic pigment formulations, especially those containing aluminum, can be blended with water-resistant paints to avoid the risk of explosion and provide a good metallic appearance, a smooth surface, good adhesion and water repellency;

Sulfobetaine amphoteric surfactant is used to prepare magnetic recording materials. When methylsilyl-based lubricant is coated with betaine amphoteric surfactant, the carriers of high-density information plates exposed to high temperature and relative high humidity are greatly reduced;

The resin containing a sulfobetaine amphoteric surfactant can uniformly disperse the magnetic powder having ultrafine particles, thereby enhancing magnetization;

The lauryl amide propyl betaine is used as one of the components of the acidic aqueous solution for cleaning the glass fiber, and the surface does not appear to be significantly discolored;

The addition of betaine amphoteric surfactant to the fertilizer can extend the shelf life of the liquid fertilizer from 15 weeks to 27 weeks, which is achieved by delaying the formation of magnesium-containing precipitates and is suitable for wet-process ammoniation production;

Betaine amphoteric surfactants can also be used to electroplate copper, tin, zinc and other metals to obtain a bright alloy.
